Q: Where do you ship to?

Worldwide! I'm based in the UK and all of my orders will be posted via Royal Mail. You can decide the speed of your shipping at checkout.

Q: How long does shipping take?

Orders from standard stock will be dispatched within 5 working days (keep an eye on your emails for a shipping confirmation!). This will take longer if you've picked a made-to-order or custom option, so check the specific item listing for more details. 

Depending on the shipping method you choose, UK orders will arrive within 1-4 working days after dispatch.

International orders will take anywhere between 5 and 10 working days after dispatch, depending on the shipping method you choose. I would advise that all international customers choose tracked shipping at the checkout for peace of mind. Please be aware that customs charges may be imposed upon your orders arrival into your country, and Emily C Designs is not liable for this. Unfortunately, this is entirely beyond my control, and is the responsibility of the customer! 

Note: Due to Brexit, COVID-19, and everything else going on in the world, shipping may be a little slower than usual. If you're having any issues please contact me. 

If you have provided the incorrect address or you did not collect your item from your local delivery office, it will be your choice to pay for the item to be resent if it makes its way back to me. 

Q: How long does it take for a made-to-order item to be shipped?

This depends a lot on what you're ordering! My standard processing time is from 1-3 weeks for made-to-order items. Of course, if you've ordered 1 pair of earrings, it'll ship out a lot faster than if you've ordered 10 pairs! I aim to get them shipped out within a week where I can, but as I'm a full-time university student, I can't ensure a product is made within that bracket.

Q: What are your products made from?

The majority of my products are made from high quality polymer clay - a lightweight plastic material. Each polymer clay component is handmade, and so it can take a lot of time to get your items looking perfect. 

Some items will also have coatings of UV resin, some are made from air-dry clay, and others are just paper! Each product will have the details in the description.

Q: How do you fix studs to your earrings?

At the moment, all of my stud posts are fastened to the clay component using UV resin. This is super strong so they should stay put!

However, a low percentage of people may have sensitivities to UV resin. If you are one of these few, please consider buying a pair with hooks/hoops/ball drop studs as they'll be safer for your ears. 

Q: How do I look after my accessories?

Store them in a cool, dry place away from water. Avoid wearing any earrings swimming or in the shower as it'll cause the findings to tarnish pretty quickly!

If the findings do tarnish over time, any good silver polish will do, just try to keep it localised to the metal as much as you can. And if the clay gets a little bit dirty, a damp, soft cloth will do the job! 

Please remember that although I have taken the utmost care to ensure that your accessories are as strong as possible, they are clay! Avoid placing too much pressure on them where you can. Resist the urge to chuck them at the bottom of your bag or sleep with them in as this can (and sadly has!) caused breakages.

Q: When will you next be updating your shop?

I try to keep my store updated as regularly as I can but with other commitments (*cough cough* university *cough cough*), some restocks can seem a bit sporadic! It's best to keep up with what's going on via my Instagram, Facebook, or by signing up to my mailing list. 

The date of my next release will always be in my Instagram bio, so make sure to check there!

Q: I'm not happy with my order. Do you accept returns/exchanges?

Due to hygiene reasons, I do not currently accept returns or exchanges. However, if there is an issue with your order that's due to me, let me know and I'm happy to help however I can. You can contact me through the contact us page here or send an email to hello.emilycdesigns@gmail.com
