September Theme: Patchwork Quilt

As August ends, it's time to start launching into the autumnal and Halloween design phase of the year. It's come around super quickly and I'm not sure I'm ready yet, but cosy autumnal earrings are some of my best sellers, so let's go!

To ease us into the autumn/winter designs, I've decided to go down the cosy route with a theme that has been on my list pretty much since I started this business, and that's patchwork!

It might be a little bit niche, but the September box is inspired by some of the cosiest board games I've played: Patchwork and Calico. Both of these games involve playing tiles or quilt pieces onto your blanket, and whoever makes the best blanket wins! Calico also has the added caveat of trying to attract cats to sleep on your blanket which is just too cute, and it's safe to say I'm obsessed. Even if you're not into board games, the art style of both of them is just so gorgeous, and I always think the patterns would make amazing jewellery.

So, there we go. And no, you won't receive a whole board game with your earrings this month I'm very sorry to say! Keep reading if you'd like to see what you'll actually get though.

Daisy Tier: The smaller of the two boxes will contain a pair of oval earrings, made from a patchwork quilt slab in a cosy colour palette. It'll also have a clay granny square keyring!

Peony Tier: The biggest box will contain all of the above, as well as a pair of blanket square trio earrings made with classic ECD floral designs in a nice transitional autumn colour palette.

I hope you like this theme! I'm really looking forward to working on these earrings. I think they'll be pretty time intensive and fiddly, but I'm sure they'll be worth all the effort at the end.

As always, you've got until the 15th of September to order this box! Any orders from the 16th onwards will count towards the October subscription box (theme tbc!). The boxes will begin shipping out week commencing 16th September. You can order your box from as little as £10 a month (excluding postage) here.

If you've got any questions, let me know. In the mean time, I hope you enjoy the last half of August!
