Welcome to the club! | Plus, the October book revealed 📖

After months of talking about it, I've finally got my stuff together and created something I'm really excited about: a book club subscription box! 

Em's Book Club is a monthly subscription box that is centred around a specific book and contains lots of goodies that correspond with it (including earrings of course). Of course, there will also be bookish items too, such as bespoke bookmarks or stickers, or more! 

Exactly the same as the earring subscription box, there's a couple of different price brackets, so you can decide which option works best for you. You'll have the option to purchase the book with extras, or just the extras if it's already a book you own/you prefer to use a Kindle etc. There's also the chance to buy a one-off box if monthly commitment isn't for you.

It will ship out in the first week of every month so you have the whole month to enjoy your brand new book. Plus, there is the option of joining a group chat on Instagram with me and the rest of the subscribers. You don't have to get involved with the chat if you're not keen, but I think it really completes the feel of a virtual book club. Wherever you are in the world, you'll be able to share your thoughts with like-minded book lovers!

The first title for October's Book Club is The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

Admittedly, this isn't a particularly seasonal read, but I wanted to pick something that had good reviews and something that I personally really enjoyed reading! Plus I spoke to several of my friends about the possibility of starting a book club, and this seemed to be quite a popular choice. 

The novel follows Monique Grant, a journalist, and her interviews with 1950s Hollywood star, Evelyn Hugo, about her infamous string of husbands and experience in the movie industry. It's full of twists and turns, and Evelyn Hugo is a super interesting character. I'll pop the blurb of the book at the bottom of this blog post!

I know I've already said this, but I'm very excited about the prospect of a virtual book club! However, if this book isn't for you but you'd like to join up, please feel free to suggest something you'd like to read going forward. 

For the November title, I'm going to open it up to the members of Em's Book Club so maybe we'll pick something a little more seasonal!

I'd love to stretch across a whole range of genres and themes, so I really think that there will be something for everyone. Plus, there's always the draw of super pretty earrings!
